It's way too expensive to not have reliable wi-fi and water leaks in the bathroom. The breakfast that's billed on top of the room is overpriced given what's offered. The gym was also disappointing. The staff is polite and friendly, the best thing about the hotel. I won't come back because I feel like this is really not worth the money.

First time in this hotel. İn the heart of Yaounde. Breakfast good, rooms clean , free shuttle etc. At reception Mr Yves Julio and miss Doris very helpful , i thank them. People at breakfast also good … Mr Bertrand is a high class restaurant manager indeed, also his asssistan Mr Joel helpful like him. I thanks everybody in this hotel..

The rooms are clean as well as the bedding. The staff are very friendly and always available to assist. The meals are very tasty and fresh and they have variety of food to meet the needs of the guests.

This is a well run hotel and I was made to feel welcome as soon as I got near reception - Nina in particular made this a delightful stay and nothing was too much trouble for her. Rooms are well appointed to a high standard with lovely lighting and good WiFi. The carpeting in the corridors makes the place very quiet and rooms in the upper floors away away from the street. The food and restaurant menu service were excellent catering to European and some local tastes but you will pay 4 star prices. In the rooms, my only surprise was that no solid soap bars were provided. When checking out, I discovered that their credit card machine had not been working for 1 or 2 days, but when I could not get cash, they arranged for it's repair and all ended well (but it always pays to carry lots of cash in Cameroon as there are no guarantees that you can pay digitally!) I stayed 6 nights so negotiated a reduced rate, around U$125 bed and breakfast

I ended up paying more than $840 for four nights at this hotel. All that money and the internet barely worked on my room during the entire stay. In fact I could not connect my phone to the Internet at all and my laptop only connected (barely) when I was lying on my bed, but disconnected as soon as I moved to the desk. It was no better in the lobby. And when you have to work — and fill out passenger locator forms etc — the bad internet cost me a huge amount of time. The food was mediocre. Most of the staff were nice and friendly. One even came in a taxi with me to the local super market at night to make sure I was safe, a nice gesture. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The exchange rate for dollars was very bad (500 compared to 575 at the airport) and with no listed rate nor receipt given, it’s not even professional.

My first time in Merina, during a busy time as the African Cup of Nations was taking place. Besides a little problem at check.in (the reservation I had made with ******* was not showing), I had an excellent stay. The front desk gave me a bigger room for my first night as they sorted out the reservation mix up and I was moved swiflty into a standard room the next day. Air con works great, tv with wide screen too. Rooms and bathroom are clean, beds comfy. The restaurant offers a nice buffet for breakfast and dinner and you can also order from a varied menu. Location is in the heart of downtown but not noisy inspite of this. Only minus was a spotty wifi on the second floor, but it worked great on the first and in the lobby. Would definitely stay there again
